Looking at these dresses, Versace doesn't come to mind because of the subtlety of design. I miss Gianni Versace a lot! I say that not to dismiss Donatella's efforts and contribution in continuing her brother's legacy. She is doing a fabulous job. I love the sexy, elegant and very feminine silohuette of these dresses. Specially the Shell Print Sheath Dress, if you look closely on the strategically placed cuts and sewn to have the entire print on the dress is genius! These dresses are from Versace Pre-Fall 2009 Collection but are perfectly chic and well-suited to any summer soiree!

Christopher Bailey's modern and edgy designs for Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall '09 Collection is definitely one of my faves. I'm loving the bootleg pants and trench coats! Gray, plum and black are the key colors in the collection. I like the range and variety of the collection. Unlike prior collections that were a bit monotonic. So, kudos to Christopher Bailey!

Chanel Pre-Fall 2009 Collection resurrects Russian imperialism -- extravagant embellished clothes, empress tiaras and men in uniforms. Karl Lagerfeld took a page from Coco Chanel's historical love affairs with men. At first, I thought this was Chanel's Fall 2009 Couture Collection. With a Pre-Fall Collection like this, I can only imagine what Karl Lagefeld has in store for Fall.
