While shopping for a pair of new jeans, I deviated from my favorite brands.Diesel, 7 For All Mankind, Energie, Evisu, True Religion to name a few. Of which a pair can costs well over $150. So, I decided to practice what I preach, and be 'The Smart Stylist' that I am. I gave myself a budget of $100. With style and quality in mind I went shopping for me and to all the guys out there and give them a dose of smart styling.

I knew at an early age what cut and fit of jeans works best for me. So, I'm not going to get into that subject. Taking into consideration that every man should know as well. As for the type of wash, last time I checked most are still acceptable with the exception of acid washed jeans. Design wise, rips and tears are stylish just don't wear one that looks like someone went to town with a razor on your jeans. Embellished back pockets are hip but as I always say moderation is key. You wouldn't want to take away the attention from what the ladies or gentlemen should be checking out, your bum! And it you don't want to make it seem your compensating for lack thereof.

I know some guys find shopping tedious but as you can see with all these jeans I found under $100 (which are as trendy and stylish as a pair of $200 jeans), you can save quite a bit.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, us guys have it easy this summer... so we think. We don't have to worry much about having the 'in' shoe, apparel or swimwear. It is not that there are no new trends for men. Its the fact that there are not a lot of options in comparison to women's. But comes the pressure of getting everything right from head to toe.

Guys can easily be hot to not by simply wearing the 'inappropriate' swim trunk. This summer, board shorts and square cut style trunks are the way to go. Here are some points to consider this summer and men's swimwear.

• Fit - find one the is not to tight and not to loose as well. Most trunks have drawstrings for an adjustable waistline. The most common mistake guys make is wearing really tight trunks. I know some guys might think wearing a tight suit 'accentuates' their asset but in fact it looks like trying to hard.
• Colors and Patterns - Dark colors are best. No neon colors when it comes to trunks, board shorts maybe. Plaid, stripe and summer prints are not bad for shorts and keep it simple when it comes to trunks.

And if you just can't bask under the sun or swim without your speedo, just make sure you cover up whether you have a Greek god's body or not. Do it for the children.
