The Sweater Dress has definitely evolved through the years. Traditionally, sweater dresses are made either with a mock or turtleneck, long or quarter length sleeve and in solid or some hideous print. Well, those sweater dresses are history.

Nowadays, you can find sweater dresses that gives the illusion you are wearing a two-piece skirt and top ensemble; embellished chic designs when paired with the right accessories you can wear to any fabulous event. You can even wear a sweater dress for work. And when an article of clothing can be worn virtually with any look and style, it's been through the wringer of updates and improvements.

Day Looks

Sneakers have been around since the late 1800's and since then shoe companies have updated and experimented on styles and materials. They are the perfect compliment for a casual, preppy or even trendy looks. But some men would rather wear athletic shoes. And I just don't get that. For spring and summer canvas sneakers are must haves. There are so many to choices out there but for this season, look for color, new styles or stick with the classics.

White is always a color I love to wear. The clean and relaxed look gives you a boost of confidence as well. This season there are updates on classic white button-up shirts, shorts and pants. Dyes, embroideries and prints inspired by global, ethnic and florals mirror trends in the women's collection for spring.

I know that white easily gets dirty and that's an understandable concern. One great alternative this season is blue -- easy to wear and evokes a certain sense of calm in others.
