To be honest, I'm not really a fan of gladiator style sandals particularly flat heeled ones. But lately, I've been seeing a breed of gladiators that are starting to grow on me. Whether you're experimenting or trying out new things in taking your personal style up a notch, it can be challenging and intimidating. This is what exactly one of my friend is experiencing. After four days of my site being down due to server, hardware and other technical issues, sure is glad to be back talking about fashion and style. So, glad to be back!

Anyhow, who is excited to see Carrie and the rest of the girls back on the big screen in Sex and the City 2? Raise your Manolo's! I can't wait myself. Every time I see the trailer on t.v. with all the fashion worn by characters we've loved for so many years, makes me all giddy and anxious... in a totally good way.

One dress that caught my eye was the white dress Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie) had on walking out of her building (trailer below) and as seen on one of the movie posters (shown above). True to her chic 'Carrie' way, she made a simple white dress look like a million bucks. I did some research and found out the dress is made by Halston Heritage and not quite inexpensive. The cold season can leave our feet dry, cracked and calloused. And with sandals season reaching it's peak in a matter of weeks, we have to make sure we have our best feet forward. Denim ruled the runways in most of Spring Ready-to-Wear Collections. From dresses to shoes, denim was center stage. Design duo Dolce and Gabbana showcased an array of very chic, innovative denim pieces for D&G Spring 2010 RTW Collection. Aside from the obvious (denim jeans and shorts), I suggest to opt for interesting pieces to integrate in your spring looks. Denim rompers and dresses are great for day. As for evening, tailored jackets or denim oxford shirts with flattering silhouettes. When I was looking for items to feature, I noticed that prices are a bit steep. Here's a tip: you can always go to your tailor and have him/her make pieces inspired by those expensive designer garments.

I am for innovation in fashion but sometimes some designers just have a hard hand when creating their vision with thoughts or should I say delusions that what they made can or is the next big thing.

Take for example this Bi-Color Dirty Calf Hi-Top Sneaker from Officine. This sneaker gives the illusion of fusing two styles of shoes. Well, it didn't work!  To add insult to injury, this abomination's price. I just have one question, why ruin a perfectly good shoe to begin with?

When I saw this Stem Stripe Organic Cotton Dress the first thought that came to mind was, refreshing. I like the simple design.
